I have been designing and making carved stained glass windows for more than 30 years in the UK and Sweden, and have a studio in Forest Row where I undertake commissions and host occasional students.

Usually a single coloured, thick (12-25mm) cast stained glass slab, which is then carved into using grinders. They can be large installed windows, or smaller hanging panels,

As the engraved coloured glass becomes thinner the colour lightens, and the sculptural relief of the surface brings a subtle changes to the motif depending on the viewers direction. My designs are sometimes figurative, sometimes more abstract, but I am happy to work with designs by other people.
